ROLLING OVER????

Trig rolled over tonight. TWICE. Can you believe that? My man is doing SOOO well, I can't believe it. I am so proud :) He was on his tummy and I guess he didn't want to be there so he pushed himself over!!!

Professional Pictures

Check it out! These are the professional pictures that were SUPPOSED to be my maternity pictures (the shoot was scheduled for the weekend after Trig was born, 2/20) but that obviously didn't work out so the session became a newborn one. Check out the pictures!

Lots to update!!!

Here's the nutshell, cuz it's really all I have time for at this point:

1) Trig had hernia surgery on 4/21/09. He had bilateral inguinal hernias, all went well and we spent the night in the hospital.

2) This delayed our trip by a week but we got on the road on Thursday night, 4/24/09

3) Made it to Ohio 4/26/09!!

4) Desperately trying to put my place together!!!

5) Went to our new pediatrician today, LOOOOVE her!! Trig is doing well, weighs 6lbs 14oz and pedi wants to see him every 2 weeks for awhile to make sure he's thriving. BUT, she says he is doing AMAZINGLY well and is strong and developing beyond what is expected. I am so proud. She also says she thinks he is going to have BLUE EYES!

6) PROMISE to update more when I have two seconds, with pictures!

Graduated from opthalmologist!

YAY! Eyes are all good! After not leaving the doc office until after 1pm for a 10:30am appointment, we have GRADUATED because Trig's eyes are all good. I am SO happy. I was really worried about his eyes.

Baker leaves tomorrow and I'm not going with him. That wasn't the plan and I'm really sad about it. I am trying to focus on the fact that Trig really needs to be evaluated by a surgeon for his hernia but I really want to go back to Ohio with my husband and continue my life there. If all goes well on Monday then we'll head out next Friday. Baker thinks that the surgeon won't want to operate on him for a few months yet. So we'll see!

Forgot!

Chantelle reminded me - I forgot to add that he weighed 6lbs 1oz yesterday! WOOHOO!!! Go Trig!

Trip to the eye doctor tomorrow, hopefully his eyes are good and the vessels have grown all the way out to the edges and we can "graduate" from the ophthalmologist! YAY!

In other news, Baker and I went to the Olive Garden while Mimi stayed at home to watch Trig. I had a glass of wine (gasp!) and it was good. I have missed my pinot noir. MMMM.

2 months old today - and hernia :(

Trig is 2 months old today! He had his 2 month checkup today as well. Which meant 3 shots! Yukky! He was a good little man, though. The shots made him cry and for the first time (that I've seen, who knows what happened in the NICU when I wasn't there), I saw little tears streaming down his face. I totally cried but kept it to myself, I didn't want to be a hysterical mother.

The other thing that happened at the appointment - the doc discovered a hernia. When Trig was circumcised, the surgeon thought he felt a hernia but wasn't sure. Well, Dr. W says that it is and doesn't want us to go to Ohio until it is evaluated by Dr. B. So, we have an appointment with Dr. B on Monday at 3:30pm to have it looked at. Not sure when they'll want to do surgery, but Baker says that inguinal hernias don't resolve and eventually, he'll need surgery. Not sure if they'll do it now or wait a few months until he's bigger, etc. We'll see. In the meantime, poor little man! He's super fussy from the shots and when he's not fussing, he's FAST asleep. So, he's been getting his doses of Tylenol. We'll get through it!

I just have to say how excited I am about my friends on the chat boards. One of my closest friends on there recently found out that she's pregnant and I am so happy for her. YAY for my TTTC sister :) And then, another good friend of mine also found out she's pregnant. I am so happy for them! Motherhood, although difficult, has been the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced. And I'm saying that on one of the bad days :) So YAY for my TTTC friends, I am thinking of you and praying for you, as always.

Trig was Baptized!

Trig was baptized on Easter Sunday and it was beautiful :) He was very well behaved and the ceremony was just gorgeous. Then we went over to Momo's for Easter Sunday meal and it was WONDERFUL.

In other news, I am headed back to Ohio on Friday - Cindy, Ronnie, Trig and I are packing up a trailer and heading out. LOTS to do before then! I am very excited about getting back to my own home after 4 months here but also very sad to be leaving San Antonio and the King family.

Pictures!

Eyes = good!

So we went to the eye doctor today - quite an adventure. Man, it takes a long time to get him ready to go somewhere, just planning to have him eat and me pump right before we leave. And then, the eye doctor's office was far away, and then it takes forever because they have to dilate his eyes, and then of course the exam is traumatic - you get the point. In any case, the appointment went well. His right eye is cleared - the vessels have grown to the outside of his eye. His left eye is *almost* there, and the doc wants to see him one more time to make sure that things continue to go well. So, still have to go back there in 2 weeks.

Home health came yesterday, too. We are officially discharged from them. Thank goodness. I mean, I am thankful that they came and everything but the nurse we had was SOOO long-winded and told me sooo many obvious things that basically put me to sleep. She said that his "max weight" would be something like 4lbs 12 ounces or something like that... well, he weighed 5lbs 2.5oz at that appointment, so we are certainly doing well.

You know what's funny about that? He weighs what I did at birth now - 5lbs 3oz. So holding him is like holding little me! But the even funnier part is that on his due date he will weigh more than I did when I was born. Wow, huh? We must be doing something right.

Well, gotta go! Time to feed the little one and pump before I have to go get Baker from the airport - he's on the flight here! He'll be here for 2 weeks! YAY!!!!! Trig is so excited - he had a bath and put on his favorite outfit (that he is about to outgrow any day, so we need to wear it!!)
